What is a Bucket Truck?
At Grant Brothers Tree Service, we take pride in providing high-quality, safe and efficient tree care services. One of the tools we use to help us do this is the bucket truck.
A bucket truck, also known as a cherry picker, is a type of heavy-duty vehicle equipped with a hydraulic lift that can reach high into the air, anywhere from 30-100+ feet! These trucks are commonly used in the tree care industry for tasks such as tree trimming, pruning, and removal. The bucket on the end of the hydraulic lift can safely and easily transport arborists to the top of tall trees, without the need for dangerous climbing. In many cases these trucks are insulated to work near high-voltage power lines.
Using a bucket truck is not only safer, but it also allows us to work more efficiently. It reduces the amount of time it takes to complete a job, as well as reducing the risk of injury to our arborists.
One funny story we have with our bucket truck happened when we were working on a property where the homeowner had a basketball hoop attached to the side of the house. Our arborist, who is a big basketball fan, couldn't resist the temptation to shoot some hoops during his lunch break. With the help of the bucket truck, he was able to slam dunk the ball while suspended in the air. Needless to say, the homeowner was quite amused to see our arborist taking a break to shoot hoops!
Saving the Birds!
Another time, we were working on a tree removal project for a homeowner who had a bird's nest in the tree. With the help of the bucket truck, we were able to carefully remove the nest and relocate it to a nearby tree. The homeowner was thrilled that we were able to preserve the nest and save the birds. At Grant Brothers Tree Service, we are committed to providing the safest and most efficient tree care services. The bucket truck is just one of the many tools we use to make sure we can complete our work quickly and safely.
Overall, the Bucket Truck has been an essential part of our business at Grant Brothers Tree Service. Without it, we would not be able to work as professionally and safely as we do. They are extremely expensive pieces of equipment, but when it comes to people's lives and safety, there's no price tag.
